Daniel is a priest in the diocese of Leeds and has published widely on aspects of Spirituality and Ministry.

With many years’ experience as a Parish Priest, he was also Episcopal Vicar for Formation in the diocese for five years. Prior to that he was Head of the Religious Studies Department at St Mary’s College of Education, Strawberry Hill (University of Surrey).

Christmas and New Year Closure

North York Moors Chamber Music Festival

This year’s festival will be held from 12-25 August 2012 in various locations around North Yorkshire. As part of that festival, a concert will be held in the Priory Chapel at Sneaton Castle on Monday 20 August at 6 pm featuring music by Mozart, Suk, Schumann, Bruch and Dvorak. Tickets are £10 with a £5 concession for students; children are free. Tickets and more details about the concert can be obtained by ringing 01751 417795. Advent Retreat

This year’s Advent Retreat entitled RECOVERING A WISDOM TRADITION, insights from St Hilda and Celtic spirituality that can birth a land of saints and scholars, will be led by Fr Ray Simpson. Fr Ray was born in Aylesbury in 1940 and was made a deacon in the Lichfield Diocese in 1963 and ordained priest the following year.
